Delete your Yemevo account

You can request deletion of your Yemevo account and the personal data associated with it.

How to delete your account in the app

Yemevo supports account deletion directly in the consumer app. You must be signed in. There is no separate web form for deletion.

  1. Open Yemevo.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Tap “Delete account”.
  4. Read the information, type “DELETE” to confirm, and confirm the deletion.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

As part of account deletion, Yemevo removes personal data associated with your consumer account according to our deletion process. This includes, where applicable:

  • Profile and login data, and the related Firebase Authentication account
  • Questionnaire, goal, and Journey data
  • Body, progress, and tracking data (for example weight, steps, water)
  • Meal plans, meal history, shopping lists, and related recipe data
  • Yemi conversations and check-ins
  • Consent data and user-related feature/audit data
  • Uploaded body photos and related analyses (including objects in our file storage)
  • Subscription/entitlement associations stored in Yemevo; Stripe customer/subscription associations are cancelled or removed where technically possible

Temporary Meal Scan images are cleaned up during analysis or via storage lifecycle and are not kept as a durable account profile.

What may be retained

Some data may remain outside Yemevo or for legal reasons:

  • Purchase and subscription records held by Apple, Google, or payment/subscription partners (for example RevenueCat), where those providers manage the data themselves
  • Data that must continue to be retained due to mandatory statutory retention obligations — deleted only after the applicable retention period ends
  • Technical or organisational residual records without personal account data, where legally required (for example anonymised invite metadata)

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, also cancel the subscription in Apple’s or Google’s subscription settings — otherwise a platform subscription may continue after your Yemevo account is deleted.

Help if you cannot open the app

If you can no longer sign in or complete in-app deletion, email our support address. Briefly state that you want to delete your Yemevo account and include the email address of the account. Do not send passwords or payment details.
